Heart, Happiness & Health

A group that fosters healthy choices based on higher ideals and a growing sense of the sacredness of life

Science is now confirming what great thinkers and wisdom traditions throughout the world have been teaching. Human beings are happier and healthier when they have love and a sense of purpose, and when they live according to their higher ideals.

Many wisdom traditions claim that the human “heart” is like a bridge between spirit and ego, between a higher knowing and the self-serving mind. This group provides practices that help people “open their hearts” and access its wisdom and peace.

The Heart, Happiness & Health group employs time-tested methods (meditation; personal reflection; quieting techniques, healing imagery; music; prayer; story; inspirational reading and group support) to help individuals:

  • Rediscover and pursue the heart’s deepest longing – real love and purpose in life
  • Honor one’s gifts and higher ideals, and live accordingly
  • Develop internal and external resources that enhance health, well-being, a balanced life, and an awareness of the sacred in everyday life.

5 universal laws of joy
  1. We can never, ever change any one else.
  2. We can recognize, understand and override our own reactive patterns.
  3. When we change ourselves, we will influence the situations in our lives.
  4. Every individual has an enormous potential for good.
  5. If we work for a larger good (fairness, mutual respect, etc.) we are happier and more effective than when we just react or focus on what we don't like or want.
